Lian Bi (b. China) is a multidisciplinary artist working across installation, textile, painting, and video. She graduated from the Textile Department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam) in 2023. Her practice is grounded in personal and intergenerational narratives shaped by displacement, rural heritage, and silence.

Using materials such as paint, wool, stone, thread, and spice, Lian traces memory through gesture, routine, and landscape. Her work has been exhibited at KunstRAI (Amsterdam) and was selected for the Rietveld Review, a platform by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie that highlights outstanding projects by emerging artists.

Guided by a quiet urgency, her practice seeks to reweave fragmented stories and reflect on how people endure, adapt, and preserve meaning across time and distance.
